Here is a little video taken today on Oct 19th. We are still picking tomatoes with the help of row cover protecting our garden from frost. We are approaching 2,000 total pounds of tomatoes just from our back yard garden. How did we do it?? Just good soil from Full Circle Compost and a little intuition!!

Wow! I am impressed with the size of your tomatoes. What is your secret?
Hey Mike,
Thanks for being impressed by my maters!! The secret is a high quality organic soil amendment that we use 4 times during the growing season. This amendment is a humus based concentrated soil additive with high amounts of agricultural and water soluble calcium. Tomatoes love calcium. Many grows are obsessed with NPK ratios in their soil and this is not the basis of high nutrient dense and big tomatoes. Calcium drives all other nutrients to the plant and the balance of nutrients in the soil is key. On top of the dry soil amendment we apply an organic liquid biological foliarly and to water with about 7 times the growing season. That is all we do. Everything is made by Full Circle Compost in Gardnerville NV. Just google them.
